More From the Workshop

Practical guides and technical walkthroughs from the Heath Motor Group team, covering the jobs we handle every day.

Complete Brake System Overhaul: What to Expect

A step-by-step guide to brake pad, rotor, and caliper replacement.

We start with a full inspection of pads, rotors, calipers, and lines. Wear patterns tell us if a caliper is sticking or a rotor is warped, and we always replace components in axle pairs. Quality parts and correct torque specs matter here.

Advanced Engine Diagnostics: Uncovering Hidden Faults

How computerised diagnostics pinpoint issues beyond the check engine light.

A warning light is often just the surface. We read live data streams, log freeze-frame data, and run actuator tests to isolate intermittent misfires and sensor failures. This approach avoids unnecessary part swaps.

Pre-Owned Vehicle Inspections: A Buyer's Essential Checklist

What our 150-point inspection covers before you buy a used car.

We check engine compression, transmission behaviour, suspension bushings, and structural integrity. A detailed test drive reveals pulling, odd noises, or shifting issues. You get a condition report to negotiate with confidence.

Why Heath Motor Group

Straightforward workshop benefits for daily drivers and fleets

We focus on the work that keeps your car dependable, with clear estimates and no guesswork.

01

Computerised diagnostics that find the real fault

Our scanners read live data and freeze-frame logs, so we replace the faulty sensor, not just the part that looks worn. This cuts down on repeat visits and wasted spend.

02

Transparent estimate before any work begins

You get a written cost breakdown and a clear explanation of what’s urgent versus what can wait. No surprise charges when you pick up the car.

03

Brake and suspension work that restores control

From pad and rotor swaps to bushing and shock replacement, we tighten up the components that affect stopping distance and handling. You’ll feel the difference immediately.

04

Pre-owned inspection with a detailed condition report

Before you buy a used car, we check engine compression, transmission behaviour, and structural rust. You get a clear pass/fail list to negotiate with confidence.

05

Fleet servicing that minimises downtime

We schedule regular maintenance windows for your whole fleet, track service history per vehicle, and flag upcoming wear items before they cause breakdowns.

06

Clutch, battery, and AC care under one roof

From clutch replacement to battery load testing and air-conditioning recharges, we handle the smaller jobs that keep your car comfortable and ready to start every morning.

Terms and Clarifications

The following notes define how Heath Motor Group structures estimates, service intervals, and inspection reports. Reading them before booking helps avoid misunderstandings about what is included in each job.

Estimate Scope

Written quotes cover parts, labour, and consumables for the listed work. If a technician finds an additional fault during the job, we stop and call before proceeding. No extra charge is applied without your approval.

Manufacturer Schedules

Service intervals follow the schedule published by the vehicle manufacturer. Mileage and time-based items are both considered. If a component shows wear outside the standard interval, it is reported separately rather than bundled into the routine service.

Diagnostic Reports

Computerised scans identify fault codes and live data readings. A diagnostic report lists observed codes, possible causes, and recommended next steps. Clearing a code without addressing the underlying fault is not treated as a repair.

Parts and Fitting

We fit parts that match original specifications or approved equivalents. Customer-supplied parts are accepted only with prior agreement, and warranty on those parts remains with the manufacturer. Labour warranty covers the fitting work itself.

Pre-Purchase Inspections

A 150-point inspection covers mechanical, electrical, and structural items that can be checked without dismantling the vehicle. The condition report notes visible wear and items requiring immediate attention. It does not guarantee future performance or hidden damage from prior accidents.

Fleet Service Terms

Fleet accounts receive a consolidated maintenance log for each registered vehicle. Service reminders are sent based on mileage or time thresholds. Scheduling priority applies to vehicles with booked downtime, and routine work is planned around your operational calendar.

Heath Motor Group operates as an independent service centre and is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer. All service work is performed at 301 Pietersen Stream, East Yolandi, LP 4886.
