Assistance & Common Questions

Straight answers about how our workshop works

If you are unsure whether your car needs a full service, a diagnostic scan, or just a quick check before a long trip, these points cover the usual decisions. For anything specific to your vehicle, call the workshop and we will talk it through.

How do I know if my car needs a diagnostic scan or just a routine service?

A routine service follows the manufacturer schedule and replaces fluids, filters, and wear items at set intervals. A diagnostic scan is for when a warning light is on, the engine feels rough, fuel consumption has changed, or a fault appears intermittently. If you are unsure, book the health check first — it combines a visual inspection with a computerised scan and gives you a clear picture before any work is approved.

Do you provide a written estimate before starting repairs?

Yes. Every job starts with an inspection and a transparent cost estimate covering parts, labour, and the expected time. If we find additional issues during the work, we stop and call you with the details and the revised figure before continuing. You never approve work blindly.

Can you service fleet vehicles with different service schedules?

We handle mixed fleets where each vehicle may follow a different manufacturer schedule. Our system tracks service history per registration, so we know what is due for each car or van. Fleet managers receive a single summary of completed work, upcoming intervals, and any recurring issues across the group.

What does a pre-owned vehicle inspection actually cover?

The inspection checks engine condition, transmission behaviour, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, fluid levels, and electronic systems. We also look for signs of previous accident damage or poor repairs. After the test drive you get a condition report that lists what is healthy, what may need attention soon, and what is a deal-breaker.

How long does a clutch replacement take?

Most clutch replacements take one to two working days depending on the vehicle model and whether the flywheel needs machining or replacement. We give you a realistic time frame after the initial inspection, and we only order parts once you have approved the estimate.

Do you work on air-conditioning and tyre fitting as well?

Yes. We recharge air-conditioning systems, check for leaks, and replace compressors or condensers when needed. For tyres, we fit new sets, balance wheels, and check alignment. These jobs are often combined with a service so you do not lose extra workshop time.
